Community Engagement Volunteer (Cardiff 5K 4th June 2025 Race 2)

Our network of branch volunteers brings a mix of diverse skills and community connections that significantly contribute to SSAFA’s ability to make a meaningful difference to the lives of serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need.

Event Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to help on Race day at Blackweir fields Cardiff. We require volunteers in race head quarters to help with registration of runners and we need volunteers to marshal out on the course. Race day is an exciting fun evening an and opportunity to support SSAFA. We work along side Welsh Athletics and this event is part of the CAAC calendar.

You will be supported by the branch chair, branch officers and other branch members. In addition, the branch will be assisted by the community engagement manager for your region.

You will act as an ambassador for SSAFA.

Requirements:

Access to public transport or a car to travel to events would be desirable but not a necessity.

Support:

You will have full support from the branch chair, community engagement volunteer, the community engagement manager and the rest of the team at SSAFA.
