Occasional Volunteering (Community Engagement) (SSAFA Cardiff 5k Race 3)
Why we want you
As a Occasional Volunteer (Community Engagement), you will support a range of activities to help spread the word about SSAFA within your community. To ensure that that our Armed Forces community know that SSAFA are here to help and that we need the public’s support to continue offering our services.
This role is flexible and shaped around what’s happening locally. You can get involved as and when activities arise within your SSAFA branch, choosing opportunities that fit your availability. There is no ongoing commitment, making it ideal if you want to volunteer casually while still making a meaningful impact.
Some examples of what you might get involved with include:
Helping at local events - setting up stalls, arranging materials or providing other practical support
Supporting fundraising activities such as selling raffle tickets, bucket collections etc.
Attending local community events such as Veteran's Cafes to raise awareness of SSAFA services
Raising awareness of SSAFA by sharing posts on social media, putting up posters or delivering leaflets in your local area
